The postcode on Google maps sends you to Kell Lane, which is unnecessary . I didn't check for a what 3 words, but expect it would have been more accurate . Ended up at Shibden Hall Inn and had a coffee there , before eventually finding my way back to stump cross

Beautiful are of West Yorkshire lots of character and charm. The Piece Hall is a spectacular piece of history and Architecture which, is being preserved by the trustees imaginative use of the grand space. Shopping, eateries, bars, seasonal events and entertainment. And, now it’s hosting some big name bands and doing really well. Lots of little market towns (Think - last of the summer wine) & historically rich in and around Halifax Town. Lots to do for entertainment if you visit

Supposed to be secured front door only access was a code provided but on arrival doors were open. On message to property they said they will get engineer out as no body as told them. That was not true as we met another guy staying at property and said he had told them several times.
Floor boards up in room letting in slugs and again told them and they said sorry and thanks for letting them know as first time this as happened, again not true as read other reviews.

Halifax has a wide range of shops, pubs and fun things to do. Everything is fairly close together and there's plenty of places to park your car. There's a great choice of places to eat from the big names such as McDonalds, Burger King, KFC as well as some more independent eateries, including a Greek restaurant. Halifax town centre also has a cinema, mini golf, the famous Piece Hall which often has live music, markets and more.

The Piece Hall was great to tour round with lots of individual shops and places to eat & drink.
The Minster is interesting & worth viewing and there is a reasonable shopping centre.
At the moment there are lots of road works which for an outsider quite difficult to negotiate.
Great location to reach most places in Halifax!
The value for money is pretty good, the room was really big and the best part of it was probably the bathroom.
The mattress though was really thin and made the bed super tough. Not the best nights of sleep really.
We didn't have any meals at the hotel as I'm a coeliac and they didn't really seem to be properly aware about gluten free food options.
the perfect place for an Anne Lister stay, tucked into the beautiful Shibden Dale. Once owned by both the Listers and the Walkers, the Inn is everything you’d want for a lovely West Yorkshire stay: wonderful, cozy rooms, fabulous staff and the best restaurant in the area—and don’t miss the marmalade at (the included) breakfast. A very special place!
Staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was elegant and comfortable with a nice view over trees to distant hills. Lots of car parking space. Breakfast was not included but it was good value and delicious. The hotel is in a nice old building with a lively bar two floors below the rooms. No problem with noise. Excellent value for money.
5 star British Hotel experience with exceptional Carribean cuisine and attentive team. Highly recommend!
Literally 1road from the station!
The suite even came with Ren Skincare (very nice touch) and the rum punch is addictive. Delicious curry goat falls off the bone, with lovely portion of rice, slaw and plantain.
The location is amazing with easy check in nice and spacious inside what was perfect to unwind after being busy on my feet all day and I have a really bad back problems the beds are very comfortable with clean linen .... definitely the best stay i have had in halifax
The hotel staff were ALL amazing. The views were spectacular over the hills of Halifax and the food served in the restaurant was outstanding. The portion sizes are however very large so no need to order extras
Location good for centre of Halifax, especially if you are going to Piece Hall for concerts.
It’s quite a basic hotel, needs to be modernised inside but for a stop over type hotel it’s fine.
Room was lovely and absolutely spotless. Comfy bed and plenty towels and good tea/coffee options. Really close to a bus stop in/out of Halifax - it doesn't run late but handy for daytime.
The location was excellent, easy walking distance to all locations in the center of Halifax. Host was available for questions. Nice to have a refrigerator and cooking ability.
Could not have had a better over night stay. Perfect location for access into Halifax. The hotel was beautiful and immaculate. The staff went out of their way to accommodate.
Friendly, professional and all members of staff ensured our stay was comfortable and relaxing.
