The breakfast was great and the decor throughout the communal areas was really nice. It's the sort of place you could come for the night and not need to go anywhere else. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The toiletries and refreshments were really high quality.

I couldn't praise this accommodation enough, from start to finish the landlord and his staff were so helpful pleasant and professions. The village is beautiful, room was stunning, rain shower was heaven and some lovely touches, including a breakfast hamper and fresh milk in the fridge. I was by myself travelling for work and they even brought my dinner to the room. Nothing was too much trouble, thank you so much. I will definitely be back !

It’s the second time I’ve stayed at the Shireburn Arms and recommend it as it is set in wonderful countryside, the staff are very helpful and friendly and I thoroughly recommend the fare.
There is a good menu to choose from, the food was excellent, very generous portions and very fairly priced.
The bedrooms are a good size, very comfortable and very clean.

This was our first stay. We were very impressed with the whole experience. Staff were welcoming. The food both dinner and breakfast was excellent. The hotel sits in lovely grounds.
Our room, we booked a suite, The Ribble Suite was very comfortable with the most amazing four poster bed. Our only initial concern was the height of the base of the bed to get in and out of (we are in our seventies) however we coped admirably! The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a bath and a walk in shower.
We couldn’t fault the hotel, would happily recommend it and we will return.

Clitheroe is a town full of interest to all those who wish to learn more about the industrial and social history of Lancashire valley mill towns. There are many old family businesses and shops, cafes and, of course, the fabulous Holmes Mill and its Bowland Bar and Brewery. A charming, thriving and most engaging town - with a castle!

Clitheroe is a lovely town with local shops, pubs and restaurants. The castle and its grounds are worth the climb up the hill. The town is a good base for exploring further afield.
For those with walking difficulties, you should be aware that Clitheroe is on a hill and the streets can be steep.
For those liking wine, there is an excellent wine shop D. Byrne & Co to explore.

I was very frustrated prior to the visit I have been seriously ill and needed to talk someone re the rooms booked as currently have limited mobility I was unable to do this other than that everything was spot on
Before arrival the host sent us over all the information we needed for checkin along with some parking tips which was very helpful on arrival to the town. The cottage was stunning and had a lovely home away from home feel with kitchen facilities (fresh bread, milk and eggs available for us). The location of the property was perfect for us, lots of local shops nearby as well as great parking facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again in the future.
The house was clean and comfortable and seemed larger than the photos suggested. It was a reasonable size for a couple and we had no issue parking right outside. We were able to regulate the temperature effectively. With 2 supermarkets just round the corner and the town centre 5-10 mins walk away it is well located and just what we needed for a base to meet family and attend a wedding in Clitheroe.
A beautiful, clean, cosy and welcoming apartment which made us feel relaxed and relaxed and completely stress free. There were lots of little touches that made it perfect. Free parking outside on Sunday, stunning views of Pendle Hill, Clitheroe Castle and the high street. Lots of pubs, restaurants and independent retailers nearby to wander around and Clitheroe is a delightful town.
The accommodation was fantastic and really spacious. The location is perfect for getting away from it all but still close enough to town for meals out etc. The views are wonderful, albeit we didn't have great weather,, but still enjoyable sat snuggled up in front of the fire. Had every facility we needed for our short break.
The property was in a brilliant location in the centre of Clitheroe, overlooking the market and within a few minutes walk of all the shops and restaurants! The apartment was an extremely clean and well equipped with everything and a lovely welcome pack of goodies! Excellent!
I liked everything about the hotel and would definitely stay again when in the area. From the reception staff to the decor all over the hotel I was really impressed, I would love to know where the furniture is sourced as it’s exactly my taste.
The hotel is a quirky place which has loads of character and the rooms were very clean.
Owner was a lovely gentleman and very helpful.
Continental breakfast had bacon amd Sausages which was an unexpected bonus 🙂
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Morning chef had a great energy about him and the breakfast was excellent. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and all in a great setting.
As it’s name suggests it was quite quirky? It was very clean and well set out. It was very handy for the centre of Clitheroe and we had no problems getting parked.
Very friendly hotel in a beautiful location. Easy to get into Clitheroe and also perfect for walking out in the countryside. The gardens are beautiful.
